Secure Data Upload Replaces FTP for Customer File Uploads

TEMPE, November 23, 2009 - Circuit Express, Inc., a leader in the quickturn and prototype PCB manufacturing industry, today announced that it has replaced it's customer FTP data transfer process with a web based data transfer page using industry leading 256-bit VeriSign Security™. The new Secure Data Upload site can be found at www.circuitexpress.com/ceidata .

Will Benner, Circuit Express IT Manager, stated “With this new capability our customers’ information will be encrypted during transmission. Although FTP is a good method of transmitting data, HTTP upload with 256-bit data encryption is the best commercial method available. FTP’s biggest vulnerability is that it leaves our customer’s data on our web servers until it is downloaded and deleted by our Customer Service team. Our new Secure Data Upload site transfers data directly to our servers within our security protocol.”

The new system offers two additional benefits. One is that it will allow all customers to transfer data to Circuit Express without the need for confusing and difficult FTP software or changes to web browser settings. And second, CEI Customer Service will receive immediate automated notification that data has been received with accompanying quote instructions rather than customers having to first transfer data then email instructions separately.
